Answers and insights.

Here is where you will find answers to frequently asked questions patients have prior to their exam.

Q: What should I expect on the day of my appointment?
A: Here is a step-by-step description.

Upon arrival, check in with the front desk and complete your paperwork.

You can download forms  and complete them in advance if you prefer. Please bring the completed forms with you on the day of your appointment.

Once your completed paperwork is turned in at the front desk, one of our nationally registered radiology technologists will accompany you to the exam room to explain your exam step by step, and answer any questions you may have about the procedure.

Upon completion of the exam, your technologist will escort you back to the reception area where you will check out with the front desk staff.

CIRPA takes pride in making each appointment as thorough and comfortable as possible. Please do not hesitate to let us know if there is anything special we can do to make you more comfortable during your exam.

Q: I have concerns about cost. What should I expect?

Q: Should I bring certain documents along to my appointment?
A: Yes. Bring your insurance cards, and a state-issued identification card. Also, CIRPA requires an order form from a physician to perform most of our exams.

Q: Does it matter what I wear to my appointment?
A: For your comfort, you may choose to wear loose fitting clothing with no metal (ig: zippers, underwire). Otherwise, we have scrubs and gowns you can change into prior to your exam. CIRPA provides lockers for securing your personal belongings.

Q: Is there anything I need to know about how to prepare for my exam?
A: Each exam is unique. Our schedulers will explain the prep information at the time of scheduling.

Q: Can you explain radiology in a way that I can understand it better?
A: Yes. The short answer is that radiology is the branch or specialty of medicine that uses imaging technologies like x-rays, CT scans, and MRIs to diagnose and treat diseases. For more information, refer to our Exams page for specifics about the procedures CIRPA provides. We have also created a Resources page where you will find even more insights and answers to your questions.
