Paulla Woomer

Paulla Woomer came to Consultants in Radiology, P.A. (CIRPA) in 1985 as a staff technologist for the Euless Office. In 1987, she was promoted to Chief Technologist of the Fort Worth Office. In 1990, she accepted the position of Clinical Director, and has served in that capacity for the past 20 years.
As Clinical Director, Paulla is responsible for the development and implementation of policies and procedures pertaining to patient care, procedure performance, and equipment procurement and maintenance. She also oversees the development, implementation and documentation of programs pertaining to compliance with state, federal and professional regulatory bodies that relate to performance and reporting of imaging services of the Consultants in Radiology, P.A. facilities. In addition, Paulla fulfills the duties of the Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) as required by the Texas Department of State Health Services.
Under Paulla's guidance, CIRPA facilities have successfully and consistently earned accreditation through the American College of Radiology (ACR), a professional association that sets standards for the practice of radiology in America. The ACR is one of only three organizations chosen by CMS (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services) as accrediting bodies for compliance with MIPPA. ACR also is recognized by the FDA as an accrediting body for the Mammography Quality and Standards Act.
Prior to joining CIRPA, Paulla served in the Army Medical Corps for five years. She spent two years at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas, as a radiologic technologist specializing in general radiology and mammography. The remaining three years were served in Nuremberg, Germany, where she earned commendation for her work in establishing and staffing the ultrasound department of the new Meddac hospital.
Paulla earned a bachelors degree in healthcare services management from Ottawa University, Ottawa, Kansas, and is nationally registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in general radiology as well as mammography. She also holds a national registry with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers in OB/GYN.
